As children we depended on our parents for everything. Our parents feed us, clothed us, taught us right from wrong, they even comforted us when we were sad or hurt. We had no worries or concerns because we knew our parents had our backs. However the older we get the more we forget to lean on our parents and trust them. We turn to our friends, teachers, and other people instead of the ones that have always looked out for us. Matthew 18:3-4 says we need to humble our selves like we did when we were little children. God wants us to fully relay on Him to feed us, cloth us, teach us right and wrong, and comfort us when we are sad. He does not want us to lean on our friends, teachers, or other people.
Matthew 18:3-4 (NLT)
3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4 So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
